The clock on the wall in Samuel Smith's classroom read a quarter to five when he looked up from the papers on his desk. They'd barely been back at school for a few days, but Sam had set summer work, something of which was probably not popular with his students. And now, as he sat there going through essay after essay of accounts about the best part of their summer, Sam was starting to wonder why he'd ever set the work.
It wasn't all bad though. Reading through the scripts offered him some sort of entertainment. Some of them had chosen to write about their holidays, whilst others chose specific days. He was surprised to see that some of them were accounts of a day spent rehearsing for the school's show choir, Vocal Adrenaline. Sam couldn't see that as a fun way to spend the holidays, but with the amount of awards that they seemed to be winning, he guessed that it worked.
After he'd graded what felt like the hundredth paper, he decided to go get a coffee or something. By the standard of some of the work he'd been given, his students still had a lot to learn. Getting up from his desk, he made his was to the staff room. It surprised him that the room was empty. It wasn't that late in the day yet. Maybe his clock was broken. He looked down to his wrist for his watch, which said the same time. He shrugged it off as he made his drink, and headed back to his classroom to continue where he'd left off with his marking. He'd marked another two papers and drank under half of his coffee when he heard footsteps in the hall, gradually getting louder and louder as they came closer.

Stephanie wasn't used to this. She was used to a VA practice that was hard, and non-stop, but when April gave them a half an hour break, at least, Stephanie, and all the others were shocked. Yes, April's methods of coaching were a bit different, but Stephanie wasn't totally opposed like some where, the fact that Stephanie was a big admirer of April's talent didn't help with dislike her methods either. But after the first five minutes of their break, Stephanie had already finished her Red Bull and apple, and had re-applied her sunblock, and was left with twenty-five minutes of nothing to do. Stephanie decided to take full advantage of the break, and start on some of her school where, whereas some members took naps, and some even we're already back on stage practicing. But when Stephanie went to grab her books from her school bag, she realized that she had left her books in her class.
"Crap." Stephanie muttered, as she rushed down the empty hallways to her English class. She had fully expected it to be empty, but when she rounded the corner, and saw the light shining through the open door, Stephanie, like all other of Mr. Smith's female students would, grew a bit anxious and excited to enter the nearly empty room.
"Mr. Smith?" Stephanie said, knocking on the door, before barging in. "I seemed to have left my books in here. You mind if I come in and find them?" She asked, being polite, with a smile on her face that vaguely resembled her version of a 'showface'.
