[VA admin]

registration

before you register, please make sure you've read the rules and everything else in the must reads board. talk to people in the chat box if you're not sure. we don't bite... much. when it comes to registering, choose a username that you'll be able to remember. when you've done that, we ask that you change your name to your character's name, all caps. e.g. JANE A. DOE. please don't name your character after someone they've played in a movie or tv show. that's like using lea michele and naming her rachel. be original! so no kristen stewarts playing a bella. just don't. you can find the application template in the application board. the admin check the board frequently, but to make things easier for us, please put "WIP" in the thread title if it's not finished. once you've finished your application, a member of staff will check it over. please don't start posting until your application has been accepted. the only exception to this is in the out-of-character area. please, no one is perfect, and your character is no exception. gary stu's and mary sue's will not be accepted here. if you don't know what they are, you can see definitions here.

rating

in accordance with proboards conditions, this site is rated pg-13, which means that this is real life, and birth, love, and death all happen. of course, if you do plan on a death, run the plot by a member of staff first! because of the site content, we ask that you're at least thirteen.

role playing

when role playing, make sure it's literate guys! Punctuation and proper spelling is a MUST! Please don't use shorthand, because not everybody understands it. We're not demanding that you post humongous posts, but stick to the word limit, which is 250 words. it's not too hard to post that! of course, if you can post something that's 1,000 words long, we're not going to stop you! god-modding is a no no. if you don't know what that is, there are lots of definitions of the term here.

characters

we're not going to dictate how many characters you can or can't have, because it's not fair on people who can handle many characters. just make sure that you keep them all active. if you want to delete one of your characters, then just let a member of staff know, and we'll do it for you. not all characters can be a member of vocal adrenaline, so please don't have all your characters apply to be in it. if we find too many people applying to me a member of vocal adrenaline, we'll have to put a temporary ban on the club.

graphics

for graphics, we ask that you have an icon/avatar at least. icon size is 150x200, no bigger, no smaller. if you can't find one, you can check CAUTION or you could put a request in the graphics board, which is located in the ooc area. signatures are great too! there aren't that many rules and regulations on your signature, we just ask that it doesn't stretch the board (so no wider than 500) and that they relate to your character. (for example if your play-by is ashley tisdale, your signature shouldn't be of demi lovato.) if you're having trouble with a signature, or any graphics, check out the graphics board.

other

you wouldn't commit a hit and run in the real world, so don't do it here. by hit and run we mean join the site and never return after the first day. it's annoying and it's not fair on us or the members here. you need to respect all of the members here. you're characters are free to fight with each other as much as you like, but we really don't want our members fighting. if we catch it, except a pm from the admin and a warning. finally, JUST HAVE FUN! after all that's what this site is about isn't it?! if you're looking for the password needed for the app, then just hit ctrl + a on your keyboard and look down.
