Not even LUKE is an island

[LUKE A. BECKETT]

So, this guy is Luke Anton Beckett. Not that he tells people his middle name, of course. He is kind of a troublemaker, got held back last year, and some people probably love to give him crap about it. He might have some enemies, he sure has crossed some people before. Luke can be a really loyal friend, if someone puts up with him long enough to get close, but he's definitely difficult to deal with. He's ultimately a really fun guy, though, always up for skipping classes and partying, but he hates stuck up people. As for girls, he's always looking for a hook up, but never gets into anything serious, as most girls at Carmel High probably know by now. Luke doesn't really know a lot of people from Vocal Adrenaline and is not into show choir at all, but the school counselor has strongly recommended that he audition for the club, given his musical inclination, as a way to "stay out of trouble"...

since bonnie and luke are in the same year at school they'd probably share some classes. i think that bonnie would probably be wary of luke, because of what she's heard about him, but when it comes down to it she wouldn't go out of her way to avoid him because he hasn't done anything to her. any other ideas??

If Bonnie is a nice and helpful girl who actually doesn't avoid him, Luke would probably play nice with her at first, to see if he can get her to "help" him with homework, assignments and things like that.

she wouldn't see any need to avoid him because he'd done nothing to her. she's quite naive too, so i wouldn't be surprised if she thought his being nice to her was genuine. could be interesting to see what would happen if he started blanking her after she'd helped him with what he wanted, because she would, because she likes to please people. she'd help him if he asked her for help.

Besides being lazy as hell, Luke can be a real jerk to people he doesn't know or just met, mostly because he has some serious issues with getting close to people. So, if she'd let him, he would definitely try and take advantage of her like that. It could be interesting, especially if she has any friends who don't like him.

*protective brother post!* if you're looking for people to not like him- how about jules? i'm thinking he's a little bit cautious of luke and when he finds out that bonnie is hanging out with him he just warns her to be careful of him and not trust him. he wouldn't dismiss luke that easily. but maybe when he discovers luke's motives, or after he acheives his motives, then jules will be pretty pissed.

Luke has a lot of people that don't like him, but he's just that kind of guy, haha. So, yes, I think it works. The fact that Jules has a nice guy thing going on would probably annoy Luke, too. They could have a few moments in VA, though, because Luke is definitely going to clash with Brody and Reid. Also, since Luke was supposed to be a junior now, they probably took a classes together in the past.

Yes, I think that sounds great actually! So Jules is going to like Luke for the most part, while still not completely trusting him. I do like the idea of being friendly in VA and sharing their dislike for Brody and Reid. Ok, and they were in classes together. Right, so Jules likes Luke a little bit, but the second he touches Bonnie, that's over lol.

EDIT: maybe Jules could talk to Ivory about the situation a lot too, and she could explain to Jules the way Luke works etc.
