`WHEN HES INSIDE YOU KNOW THERES NO ROOM FOR ME!
[/font]It had been a tough week at work for Deirdra. She'd always been so capable at separating her emotions from her brain when working with human remains, but it wasn't very often that she found herself working with the remains of a child. This week had been one of those times. More than once had she locked herself in the restroom to wipe her tears. She didn't like having to work with child remains. It had always been a struggle for her, but for some reason or another, it effected her deeper than ever before.
In an effort to get over the situation, Deirdra had invited her twin sister Trista over for a girls' afternoon. Margaritas, tear-jerkers, and a nice cool dip in the pool. Deirdra had always loved sister days, and she was in desperate need of one.
Unfortunately, she'd spent most of the day in the bathroom, bowing down to the porcelain throne.
The nausea felt the day she met up with Trista and Damon in the jewelry store had never really passed, and now it had manifested itself in the form of the worst case of the stomach bug she ever had. Deirdra hated throwing up. She'd rather work with maggots and rotting corpses than throw up any day. She felt bad that Trista had been over to witness her ailments, but Trista had insisted she remain in the house, to help take care of Deirdra. For being mostly free spirited, Deirdra noticed Trista had a maternal quality to her. She liked to take care of people, as far as Dee could tell. Or at the very least, she wanted to take care of Deirdra.
Dee grabbed at the washcloth that was slung over the side of the sink, and dabbed at her mouth. She wanted to brush her teeth, but she knew that it wouldn't make much of a difference. Usually after she got sick, she felt better. This was not the case here. She held the washcloth tightly in her right hand, putting her left arm across the seat of the toilet and resting her forehead on it. "You really don't have to stick around."
